Posted June 13 Hi We just had a power cut in my neighbourhood. I was using my PC when it happened. Power was out for 20 or 30 minutes, once it came back on my PC was powered off, when I went to start it it failed to boot to my NVMe Windows 10 drive giving me the "reboot and select proper boot device" prompt. I've entered BIOS to try booting from there but I get the same error. I reinstalled the drive and whilst my BIOS detects it I get the same "reboot" prompt. I have no other drives with a bootable install, just files. Many of my other Drives are Data SSDs and one is another M.2 drive but data not NVMe. So my main concerns now -What steps can I take to recover my drive and windows install as well as any programs and files on the NVMe. -How likely is it that my MoBo is damaged and how to tell. -How likely is it that the NVMe is damaged or corrupt. -How do I know and what is the likely hood that my other drives, the 2.5in and M.2 SATA drives, are also either damaged or corrupt and how to check. Anymore troubleshooting steps and ideas requested. It's basically 1 am here and any of the nearby tech stores open at 10am I don't have a bootable USB or a USB to M.2/NVMe adapter. Hoping to get one this later morning. It'd reaaaaaaally suck if that NVMe is screwed... ASUS Cross hair Hero 8 Ryzen 7 3800X Thank you for your help.
