I’m trying to upgrade my PC so I can continue to stream my gameplay, but I’ve ran into some issues. At one point I took my pre-built Cyberpower PC to a tech shop (my pc was struggling to boot) and I just noticed that the motherboard that I have isn’t working properly. I have 4 slots for RAM, and only the first two slots work, but I bought new RAM sticks with more GB before I found that out (Kingston).

 

So now I have great RAM that doesn’t line up with what I have, and basically a handicapped motherboard. I have no clue what I’m doing when it comes to troubleshooting and building a PC. Looking for some guidance here haha

When did you purchase the system? It could still potentially be under warranty

Bought it a couple years back, 2022 I believe. But the tech shop I went to made some mods to the PC, so I believe my warranty would be null and void at this point.

Basically get some Z690 board with enough connectivity
