PC suddenly shut off and now won’t turn on — breaker tripped, PSU might be dead, what else should I check?

My PC was working fine, then suddenly it shut off completely without any warning. I found out that the breaker tripped (or a fuse blew) in my house.

Now when I press the power button, nothing happens — no lights, no fans, no sounds.

I suspect the power supply unit (PSU) might be dead, but I’m worried it could have damaged other parts like the motherboard or CPU.

What are the best steps to diagnose the problem?

How can I check if the motherboard or other components are still okay?

Any advice would be really helpful. Thanks!

Reset the breaker if you haven't already as nothing is going to work until you do that. If it keeps tripping then something plugged in is the problem and you'll have to unplug things to find what is causing it.

If it is the PC, then assume the PSU is gone. I recently had this myself. Couldn't reset the breaker as long as that PSU was plugged in. Got the PSU replaced under warranty and fine since.
