Currently I am using a 3 year old pc i had made for me from cyber power, love the pc it has been a great pc for my needs, but it's time for an upgrade its getting slow on some newer games.

I only ever play farming simulator, Currently the newest which is farming simulator 25. I stream alot of video and music.

What i would like is to use a laptop to dock at my desk and use my 2 screen and keyboard and mouse. Then when I travel which I do a lot it is take it with me to.

Bellow I will put my current spec of my pc and then the laptop I would like is a samsung galaxy book5 pro

Will that laptop be better and run the games I want?

My current pc specs:

Cpu - Intel® Core™ i5-12600KF - 10-Core [6P @ 3.70GHz-4.90GHz / 4E @ 2.80GHz-3.60GHz] - 20MB Cache Ultimate OC Compatible

 Mother board - MSI Pro Z690-P DDR4: ATX w/ USB 3.2, 2x M.2

Gpu - MSI GeForce® RTX 3060 12GB - Ray Tracing Technology, DX12®, VR Ready, HDMI, DP - 4 Monitor Support (Single Card)

RAM - 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4/3200mhz Dual Channel Memory [-46] (Corsair Vengeance LPX w/Heat Spreader)

Samsung galaxy book5 pro specs

Cpu - Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 Processor 256V (P-core Up to 4.8 GHz 12 MB LLC Cache)

Gpu - Intel® Arc™ 140V GPU (8GB)

Ram - 16 GB LPDDR5X Memory (On Package)

So in Conclusion would this be a worth while swap with key consideration to be it can run farming simulator 25 (ideally as fast as possible). i know it will stream video and music perfectly.

And I think it will dock to my 2 lenovo screens and Corsair mouse and keyboard ok.

I know also taking it with me on the go will be brilliant

You are comparing something that has a discrete GPU (Graphic Processing Unit) with something that doesn't.

For something that use/need a lot of graphical prowess.

Imagine a discrete GPU as a second processor, solely & specifically for handling graphic stuffs.

And performance (or should I say processing prowess here) often correlate to power usage.

Your PC can go up to 150w for CPU, 170w for GPU.

The laptop goes up to 37w, CPU & GPU combined.

Even my 5600x + rtx3060 PC is quite a lot better performer than 5800h + rtx3060 Mobile in my gaming laptop.

Because mobile version of CPU and/or GPU is a gimped version of their desktop counterparts.

So no don't swap would be your answer

If the emphasis is "running your games better", yeap, pretty much.

Fair enough, just get the laptop and keep the pc.

Maybe just stream the game from your desktop to your laptop when you are away from home.

Good idea, you can do that via steam!

A bunch of ways yea. Through Steam probably be the easiest.
