LTTStore Account not working since global split

Go to solution Solved by LSDetlev,

This has been answered by a staff member already.
tldr: Make a new account on global store.
if you want your purchase history: log into US Store.

Hey guys, mostly @nicklmg
Linus mentioned on a couple WAN Shows, the store is running kinda slow at the moment.
I don't know about your accounts, but I'm from Germany and I'm not able to login or reset the password and I'm not willing to create a new account. There are many orders on it that I don't want to, but might need for support queries.
This should be looked into and might explain a worse shopping card conversion and fewer sales. I'm sure I would have ordered at least once. The breadosaurus hoodie is just too cute. I'm a grown man and I would cuddle up in it for sure.

Is this just me or are you guys having the same problem?

People make accounts ? I just used the Guest checkout because I couldn't be bothered.

Anyway, each shopify accounts are linked to that one particular store and are not global account across all shopify stores online.

With the global shift, they would've likely made a "new store" through spotify. Hence the requirement to create a new account for that store and why your account likely still works on the US exclusive store now.

Ya, I like having my personal data compromised for the luxury of having all my purchases in one place. Emails don't count, the search function is broken on so many levels.

Weren't they talking about transitioning the accounts over when they announced the split?

You're right though, my account is still useable on the US store. That's kinda annoying, though. I was expecting them to transfer that and now i'm afraid to create a new one on the global store.

When I logged into my account after the split, I was asked to choose between US and Global store (popup-ish). obviously I choose Global as I'm not in the US and that worked fine. Until now. I was able to log in to the US store on my original account and then choose Global from the drop-down menu (bottom left) It prompted me to log in again, but failed as apparently my password wasn't transferred. However, I now also cannot log into the US store either! I didn't take it any further so basically I'm now in the same boat. Can anyone flag Luke or his IT team in this thread to migrate the passwords for Global accounts from the US store? Or find another workable solution that doesn't destroy our purchase history?
