Hi,

I am chosing the components for a new build. I have it all pretty much decided except one thing: RAM.

I'm going with an MSI MAG X670E Tomahawk Wifi and Ryzen 9700X. Now I need to chose my RAM and I want a 2x48GB kit.

I care very much about having a rock-stable build, as I'm moving from a nightmarish, cursed build that would randomly BSOD and corrupt stuff willy-nilly. Never again.

So I naturally went for MSI's QVL list for that board, and I had some modules in mind, but these are XMP kits and now people are telling me that going on a Ryzen build whose RAM has no EXPO profile is asking for trouble. But sorry, it seems MSI mostly tested sticks that happened not to have EXPO profiles.

So what now? Do I give up on the QVL list? Is EXPO important or not?

I'm honestly losing my mind...
