I dont know what to do,I have a r9 3900x with a rtx 3080 on a b550 rog-e asus,I run on a ultrawide 1440p asus monitor and I get terrible fps in basically every game, For example cs2 running 4:3 1440 by 1080 getting barely 160 fps on medium to high setting,I ve got everything updated,temps are all below 50-55 ish.I don't know if my r9 3900x is faulty as I haven't run any benchmarks on it,I get terrible gpu usage on most games like rust or cs where I bottle out at 40%.I'm not sure whether it's just a bottleneck or a faulty cpu,aslo bios setting are all default except putting ram to full mhz so no OC has been done.

Please help me with this,I've got a couple options like upgrading cpus to a 5800x for only 30 pounds if I trade in my r9 at cex (UK) or upgrading to am5 but I dont know what will be the most cost effective method.

@JustWonderingWhatToPick Gonna need more details.

Is this a new build? Or have you upgraded it recently? Is the windows install new?

What have you tried already to remedy the issues?

I might be experienced, but I'm human and I do make mistakes. Trust but Verify! I edit my messages after sending them alot, please refresh before posting your reply. Please try to be clear and specific, you'll get a better answer. Please remember to mark solutions once you have the information you need. Expand this signature for common PC building advice, a short bio and a list of my components.

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticably improve performance past 240mm.

I don't know if my r9 3900x is faulty as I haven't run any benchmarks on it,

Run benchmarks for CPU only e.g. Cinebench and for your graphics and check your scores.

Also run hwinfo's sensor tab alongside your games and post screenshots.

XMP enabled? Try reinstalling the graphics drivers after completely removing with DDU?

Sorry for my inactivity, I had trouble finding time,Let me answer some questions and further explain, I built this computer quite some time ago during the silicon shortage,Ive recently reinstalled windows however the problems still appeared, Everything is up to date except my bios which will be my next step,XMP Is enabled i think however Ai Tweaker is set to auto rather than D.O.C.P ,I realised that ReBar wasn't enabled, After enabling it my Fps in CS2 went from 130 ish to 180 ish on Train (Same map and setting).Ive done some Benchmarking on Cinebench and furmark,Am no expert on Benchmarking but i hope this will help the problem,The monitoring was done on CS2 train where my fps spikes from 160 to 180 ish i linked the file of the hwinfo's sensor log/

Am not sure whether my fps is normal or not,I not sure whether to upgrade or keep troubleshooting, I hope this helps ill post more updates on other games like rust or another heavy game.
