Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 

  • Chrome, Accounting software (Miracle), light excel

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 

  • I dont have an existing part list
  • A monitor is needed to be part of the budget, nothing else
  • Currently its a Dell Prebuilt with intel i3-4th gen, 4gb RAM, 1TB 5600RPM HDD and NO external graphic card
  • I will be buying this within next 2 weeks
  • My dad will not change this computer for the upcoming 5-8 years so it has to have dependable parts that can run for a long time.

Get another office prebuilt but something that is made in the last few years and not in 2013.

The issue with current prebuilt was that the Power Supply stopped working and it had to be "Fixed" instead of replaced. I want to be able to fix it without proprietary parts if possible.

Maybe used PC that doesn't use proprietary connections/parts?
