ASUS ROG STRIX B850-E Gaming WiFi AM5 DDR5

G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RGB 2x16GB DDR5 6000Mhz CL28

I am very confident that it will work without any problems 🙂

The G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RGB even has EXPO profile for the AM5 motherboard.

In my opinion, its a safe purchase.

Budget (including currency):

Country:

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Hey, I am building a new pc but the ram I am trying to buy is not on the QVL for the motherboard manufacturer, but if I go into the ram manufacturers website it says that it works for that motherboard. Who am I supposed to believe?

Just because its not listed on the QVL on the motherboard website doesn't mean it wont work.

There are hundreds if not thousands of different RAM kits out there, they can't test every single one of them.

I have used many DDR4 and DDR5 RAM kits that are not on the QVL lists for motherboards without any problem, in fact, I have never had an issue.

What RAM kit are you looking at and what motherboard?  Let me see 🙂

Honestly? Neither of them. Unless you're buying JEDEC RAM that fits the CPU's base spec, there's no guarantee of anything. But, keep in the mind QVLs are produced when the board is released and rarely updated unless there's a good reason (like a new CPU series). They're not extensive lists though, they just say that the memory tested worked with the CPU/motherboard tested, that's it.
