i am so close to loosing my Mind: PC crashing with random BSODs without a consitent Reason

Hello Guys,

i am having some problems lately with my PC. I am experiencing a lot of BOTs either after startup or while playing with critical process died or some Kernel Failure codes which are leading to a faulty SSD or Ram.
A Friend of mine gave my his spare NVME for testing purposes and after i cloned my NVME i couldnt boot from it where my todays problem lies.

First of all Specs:
Ryzen 5800X3D

X570 Strix-E

RTX3080

Windowsdrive:  Samsung 970 EVO PLUS(NVME) (NTFS) (GPT)
2nd Drive: Samsung 4TB 860 EVO (SATA)

3rd Drive:  Samsung 500 GB 850 EVO(SATA)

4rd Drive:  WD BLACK SN770 (NVME) from my friend

For some Reason the Boot File? or EFI-Partition is on my 4TB SATA Drive, altough i never ever installed windows there. It was always a pure Data Drive.
Neither the first NVME or the second NVME are shown in the BIOS Boot Menu and dont have an Efi-Partition, what makes them  unbootable.
With CSM enabled i am able to select them as a bootable Drives, but after the BIOS screen i just get the Message no bootable device detected.

Without the Sata Drive connected, my PC isnt booting at all.

What i am now confused about:
Why is the Sata SSD the only drive that lets me boot into windows, altough it was never installed with windows.

How do i "properly" install Windows to the NVMe Drive, so it boots completly from it?
Is a reinstall of Windows necessary for this or can i just install the EFI-Partition?

Do i need CSM in generall if need to boot from an NVME? (i dont understand CSM really)

Thanks for every help in advance.

When installing Windows with more than 1 drive connected to motherboard, there is a chance the BOOTloader will be installed into the wrong drive.

Hence why we often told people to unplug other drives first before installing Windows, and only plug them after the OS installation finished.

IIRC you can move/rebuild the Bootloader to the right drive, but I forgot how to.

There is approximately 99% chance I edited my post

Updating/Elaborating upon  the first Post

Preface
I've completely run out of ideas.
Over the years, my PC has had recurring phases where BSODs (Blue Screens of Death) were a daily occurrence. Sometimes reinstalling Windows helped, other times swapping RAM sticks did the trick. Somehow, I’d always manage to get the system stable again for a few months.

The Problem
Right now, nothing seems to work anymore — I've tried just about everything. I'm getting the full spectrum of BSODs, including:

  • Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error (once mentioning win32kfull.sys)

  • Another Kernel-related error

  • Critical_Process_Died

  • Unexpected_Store_Exception

  • System_Service_Exception

  • And probably a couple more I've forgotten

The BSOD appears and gets stuck at 0%, meaning no dump file is created, regardless of the error.

The BSODs are usually triggered by one of two scenarios:

  • Immediately after booting up and logging in (or during the login process)

  • While gaming — this happens with both demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077 and lightweight ones like This War of Mine. Especially when I’m also running a browser with a stream open on the second monitor.

Sometimes I can trigger a BSOD pretty reliably, and other times I can go days without one. There’s no consistent “breaking point,” which makes diagnosing the issue extremely frustrating.

What I've tried so far:

  • Reinstalled Windows

  • Upgraded from Windows 10 to 11

  • Ran sfc /scannow and chkdsk

  • Ran MemTest86

  • Swapped out the RAM

  • Swapped out the SSD

  • Disconnected all SSDs except the OS drive

  • Reseated CPU and reapplied thermal paste

  • Removed GPU undervolt

  • Removed GPU riser

  • Reset BIOS

  • Updated BIOS

  • Updated GPU BIOS

  • (Probably forgetting a few more attempts)

System Specs:

  • Ryzen 7 5800X3D

  • 32GB DDR4 3200 CL14 RAM
    (alternative: 16GB DDR4 3000 CL16 RAM)

  • ASUS X570-E motherboard

  • RTX 3080

  • 1TB Samsung 970 Evo
    (alternative: 1TB WD Black SN770)

  • M28U G-Sync 4K (144Hz)

  • 28" 4K iiyama monitor (60Hz)

Regular Software (installed fresh with every Windows install / often running during crashes):

  • Steam

  • Discord

  • Chrome

  • Nvidia App

  • Office365

  • Wallpaper Engine (crashes also occur without it)

  • MSI Afterburner

  • Logitech G HUB

  • Translucent Taskbar (crashes also occur without it)

  • Armoury Crate (ASUS motherboard software for RGB & driver packages)

  • Manufacturer-specific chipset, audio, and LAN drivers

I've tried disabling some of the above software temporarily, but so far I haven’t seen any consistent improvement — though I must admit I haven’t been able to test every combination in depth.

I truly don't know whether this is a hardware issue (maybe motherboard, CPU, or GPU), or if some software I've been reinstalling every time is the culprit. It's driving me crazy.

I'm grateful for any tips or ideas you might have.

If you cannot install windows see if you can Test install another OS such as linux on the drive you want to
