so was considering 3080 12gb but cant find any. 40/50 series is not even a consideration. prices are way out of what im willing to pay

found a 2080 ti in mint condition from a video editor. blower

and found a 3080 gigabyte 10gb.

resolve studio

I have

5950x/ 360 aio

64gb 3600 cl18

b550 mb

so was considering the 2080ti because of the 1gb vram extra which in certain edits with fusion can be an issue with running out of memory

I have patience for render but more worried with the 10gb vram vs 11. and I know small differfence but if I could find a 12gb 3080  then even better\

|but right now these are the 2 cards available and im pulling the trigger today later

Although I use Resolve I've never pushed VRAM usage so don't have a feel for how that scales. I'd expect the 3080 to be much faster for GPU processing if you don't run out of VRAM. If VRAM is that critical, any 3060 12GB around? It will be slower otherwise though, but should be cheaper too.
