Surprising how fast these tiny things are.  Everyday computing is faster actually.  Averages 18.5wh while working on it for the entire machine vs about 150wh doing nothing.  During the multicore test ~90w vs ~320w.

dGPUs idle at some non-negligible power which wont help, and the IOD design in AMD chiplet CPUs is also pretty bad power/performance wise. But overall not a surprise that a mobile first platform is more power efficient than a desktop one under light loads. Who'd have thunk that? How many fps does that efficient system give you in like for like settings? You make your choice according to the use case, and it is great we have choices available.

I probably game 0-5 hours a week.  For Photoshop, Lightroom, browsers, office apps performance is pretty much indistinguishable.  FPS per watt for heavy titles is about the same 1/10 the speed for 1/10 the power.  Something lighter like Minecraft or Roblox 3-5x fps per watt.

I can work about 9h with power loss now without switching to the house batteries which I try to reserve for fridge, freezer, the garage door and a few lights.
