Is there any screen tearing on pc output 120fps stably at 120hz screen?

I heard someone say that the graphc card outputs 60fps stably on a 60hz screen, and there will be tearing if fast sync is not turned on

Are PS4 and PS3 games turned on v sync  by default?

Why do I never experience tearing or stuttering when playing on PS4, even though it doesn't have G-Sync?

To avoid tearing you need matching refresh/redraw rates and matching starting points for the refresh/redraw cycle.

To get matching cycles you need some form of synchronization, like VSync or Adaptive Sync.

Imagine it like two cars driving at the same speed. They will only reach the goal at the same time if they also started driving at the same time. Otherwise there is an offset between them.

That "offset" is visible as tearing.

The higher the frame/refresh rate, the smaller that offset. So it is less noticeable at higher frame rates even without sync. The content can also play a role with how visible it is.

All monitors basically have some VRR thse days to help with that over V-sync which is limiting as causes stutter if fps drops and in general higher input lag.

Your eye sight isn't that good, only way to explain that, because consoles are screen tearing hell (and especially weak ones that barely run games at 30fps such as the PS4)

Yes, mostly, but it still doesn't work properly 100% of the time.
