Windows not using more than 20GB RAM

Hi there, sorry if this has been posted elsewhere - I couldn't find anything specifically related to this.

I have an HP Z420 with 64 GB of DDR3 ECC Ram (8x8GB sticks). I use Solidworks and Solidworks Simulation for my work, and I noticed that no matter how heavy the workload, windows 10 won't use more than about 20GB of RAM. Page file is set to 64GB-100GB on drive D (kingston NVMe). Is this a restriction on the application level, or the OS level?

BTW, I've tried the advice given by google searches (unticking the "Maximum Memory" box in System Configuration\Boot\Advanced options doesn't change anything).

There's no 20GB OS restriction with Windows 10.

You're using 26GB+ in that screenshot (in-use plus cache), the rest appears to be free.

Are you sure your workload actually requires that much memory?

I would recommend to set that to "automatic" there's typically no need for user interaction with this setting (the one thing windows is good at is managing RAM)
