Should I invest in a new psu to get a 12vhpwr cable.

Hi, I am about to upgrade to an 5070. I got the EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G6 80 Plus Gold 850W psu so I don’t have a 12vhpwr connector. From my understanding there shouldn’t be an issue with using the delivered connector. 
any recommendations?

No need to change PSU.  I powered my overclocked RTX 4080 for 2 years with the included adapter with an older Corsair RM750i from 2019.

The EVGA SuperNOVA G6 850w is a very solid unit, it will be completely fine with its standard PCIE cables to the included adapter.

 

Install the GPU and enjoy your games!

I am on a g6 1000 series. It should do fine.
