I want a good quality video doorbell that has the option to store video locally and does not require a monthly subscription. Eufy seems to be what is suggested most often. I also really like their new version that has one of the cameras looking down. Thanks to an episode of the WAN show I watched a couple years ago though, I know Eufy isn't the most honest company. Are there other options?

BTW, I tried posting this same question on the subreddit but it seems like all of my new threads get immediately removed by reddit filters. Don't know why.

The issue (and iirc more than one issue), and their response means I would never ever trust them again.

I don't really know any good alternatives offhand. There was a ubiquity one that was in an (sponsored) LLT video might do the trick, if you search LTT doorbell it comes up. It's not cheap, but it does store locally and without a subscription.
