Hi, would anyone be willing to give opinions/advice on this as a proposed upgrade for an old 4th Gen intel build, as I'm now in a position to update and want something mid-way that is also upgradable:

Why Intel? - Why not?! I currently have Intel I have nothing against AMD though

Why Nvidia? - I've traditionally had Nvidia and whilst I've nothing against AMD my limited understanding is that RT is becoming more of a thing and the 4060 does it better that current AMD alternatives - happy to be proven wrong though.

Storage will be supplemented by an existing 1TB SSD, Will probably be using WIN 10 until I can be bothered pulling the PIN for WIN11.  I have sacrificed a better CPU in favour of GPU as I feel CPU upgrade will be easier/more achievable, using the stock cooler until I can afford better but in future would maybe like to go down the AIO route.

For info this is what it will be replacing:

        CPU                Intel Core i7 4790 @ 3.60GHz    42 °C
        RAM               32GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. B85M-E (SOCKET 1150)
Graphics        4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (MSI)

Thanks for any advice/abuse in advance!

Can I please ask why the ARC GPU?

Aside from the negative press when ARC first arrived I've heard good things though I've yet to watch the recent 30 day challenge of LTT.

One thing that worries me about the ARC series is the criticism that the drivers still need work I will need to watch that video and do some research but thanks for the extra thought I will certainly consider the suggestion
