Can I do a tape mod on my keyboard with battery if there is foam separating the PCB and battery?

I have an RK96 RGB keyboard that I want to tape mod, and I heard that doing it with painters tape on a keyboard with a battery could be a fire hazard. I searched up some modding videos online and saw a layer of foam separating the PCB itself and the battery. Would it be okay if I did the tape mod with painters tape, or should I buy some electrical tape and do it with that instead?

There is a vague possible fire hazard, but honestly, a bit of paper tape isn't going to increase risk too much. If it's hot enough to ignite the tape, it's already on its way to catastrophic meltdown and you're just getting things started a bit early
