The goats at hardware unboxed managed to get a review unit for the rtx 5060. Although to stay safe from Jensen huang and the nv-ssasins, they had to stay 20 floors above ground level.

I think the most surprising benchmark was stalker 2, where in 1440p, both the 5060 ti and 5060 lose to the rx 6600 ( and has the same amount of vram, but an older gen), a 5 Year old card atp. But in most of the 1080p benches the 5060 does around 3070 perf.

as mentioned in the video, the 5060 is fine, but it could have done better with more vram. And something else mentioned by gamers nexus, vex, and hardware unboxed is that they feel that nvidia a gaming division is being overshadowed by nvidias ai business, which would be fine if it wasn’t affecting the gaming division. A lot of people are saying that both divisions should split so one can focus on gaming and the other ai which isn’t a bad idea, but to me I feel like they could do both but they decided to focus on one without the other.

overall the 5060 is decent, but drivers and nvidias shady practices are definitely deterrents, not to mention the 8gbs of vram in this day and age.

Totally agree, i think nvidia spent more time trying to shut down bad reviews than it would have actually taken to add 12gb to the card

Well, if they don't plan to join the new Nvidia plan for reviewer partner they're pretty much barred from early access in the future anyways.

Plus, HwU was already "marked" by NV once, a long time ago.

Back when NV just released RT, and doing everything to make it (I presume) the new normal*

Wow... 3070 performance with an 8GB buffer so all the times the 3070 looses to a 3060 at 1440p and above due to VRAM, so does this card. It is only actually is a better card then the 3060 in games fit inside the buffer.

a 299 5060 12GB super will honestly be a very decent card. but this aint it.

What really sucks is that the current market has pushed most used last-gen cards back up to basically their launch prices, so even buying a used card isn't really a great option. Like, the 7700 XT seems like it would be a better buy than the 5060 considering it has similar performance and more VRAM, but...the ebay "buy it now" price is close to its launch price of $450.

I'm having more fun than you 😠

Is that why there is no review about this card on TechPowerUp yet?

Partly why, yes

Basically TPU would need to either bend the knee or wait till they can buy a 5060 to do a review which would take a few extra days if not more id they want normal prices

There's a reason HUB is known as AMD Unboxed in inner circles. The 5060 will be a go-to card for 1080P gamers such as the ones who play E-Sports titles.

In no real circles are they known as that.

the 5060 8GB will be an awful card for 1080p gaming in the next year.

HUB has been known to put their finger on the scales in more than one review. We've been calling them AMD Unboxed for awhile now.

A, no they have not been known to do that

B, "We've" as if its anyone who's opinion on this matters.

Claiming they are "AMD fanboys and mess with benchmarks to show AMD in a better light" is just an absurd claim that has no bearing to reality.

I don't understand why Nvidia keeps f*cking the gamers. I mean, look at the numbers. It is not gaming graphics cards that makes them their money. It's AI and data center hardware. Why not just keep gaming as a side-hustle, that actually tries to give gamers the most 😞

"we" no, just the nvidia/intel fanboy shills, and before you start i buy both when its best.

hub has been undeniably very professional and has never tipped the scales to one side to favor one over the other. AMD has just been very good lately, and when they made mistakes, HUB was right on their asses.

2 reasons

1)image.jpeg.8be27fdfab994b9c3243651be9661d0e.jpeg

2)They love the uneducated and miseducated cause they know that unless you know whats good or do your due diligence you only know "nvidia make the GPU thingy so I should get that" so the obvious scummy move is "hey, they know us so we should maximise earnings by doing below the bare minimum

All right, then you should have plenty of specific examples of where HUB have "put their finger on the scales in more than one review".

Please post them with explainers on where you spot the skewing of data, so the rest of us can educate ourselves.

Timestamps will be appreciated too.

mITX is awesome! I regret nothing (apart from when picking parts or have to do maintainance *cough*cough*)

nope. even lives on the other side of the planet. Just curious due the the high degree of confidence in your initial remark. Even going "We've been calling them AMD Unboxed for awhile now" instead of "I have been..." which is you know at least being honest about it being your opinion and not a widespread accepted truth.

IF you wanna go for something more substantial than your personal opinion, please provide a bit of proof of your claims. Its really debate 101 🙂

You seem pretty shaken up over my post hence the reason I thought that you were related to the guy. We called him out on the techspot board for a few of his reviews (been years now) and obviously the mods didn't handle it well. That's as much as you're getting from me.

Okay. I mean, its fine if its just your personal opinion of the dude. We all have likes and dislikes. Steve from GN generally rubs me the wrong way and have done that for years (before the GN><LTT thing broke out), but that's just my opinion. I didn't like the shockumentary style they adopted.

Not shaken, just wondering as you generally seem like a rather positive contributor in the forum, so it stuck out to me. But fine. Its your personal bee in the bonnet and we all have that.

No reason to hijack the thread any further then. Good day to you 🙂
