My build:

AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
Kingston FURY Beast 16 GB
Crucial p3 plus
ASUS TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI

3080 asus tuf gaming V2 OC
meshify 2 (solid, 3x140 1000rpm, 2 intake, 1 exaust)
Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE

Lian Li EDGE 850W

(All new parts, non aesthetic build) As this is my first pc build, even though I put hours into research (im so pissed I overlooked this) I bought a L shaped PSU without realizing that youre suposed to put put PSU fan on the bottom.

(PSU cage can let air through) So should I put the fan on the bottom and let the L extension hang, will the cables be okay if they bend this way? or should I put the fan up, rest the L extension, will the temp situation be okay, because GPU takes air up, PSU down, so kinda a vacuum?

The psu in itself was great price and is great performance (from reviews), got all the parts, but havent built it yet, please help.

Just have the psu fan face up.

The meshify 2 has enough cut outs above the PSU to give it plenty of air, its not going to fight with the GPU.

Just keep it as is, its completely fine.  Back in the day, PSU's worked as an exhaust in most systems ( That being said, most systems had way less heat ouput)

I have a Fractal Torrent and the PSU goes on top but with the fan on the PSU pointing down into the case where all the warm air is going.

This is 'way worse' than your setup 😄

If you really need to know 😜, before "gaming era", PSU fan facing up is normal.

I have an old PC case that doesn't even have air holes on the bottom side of the PSU area.

Anyway, most likely it's fine if the L shaped hang, just make sure the cables are well slotted into their headers so they don't fall out. If you still want to use it with fan facing down that is.

From pictures of the PSU, there seems to be plenty enough space between the headers and the top side of the PSU, which means the bends won't be too extreme or too forced.

I mean... in ITX build pretty sure there's a whole lot less space for big bends.

12VHPWR might be a concern if the bend is too tight, but your GPU doesn't use it, so....

Meshify 2 seems to have air holes on PSU cover too, so your PSU should still be able to pull air to cool itself when needed even if it's fan is facing up.

PSU fan facing up means it will act like an exhaust for your whole system as well, at least when your PSU fan spinning.

Lian Li Edge PSU was pretty much designed for pc cases that mounts PSU sideways anyway.

There is approximately 99% chance I edited my post

If you want it to run louder, then sure.

PSUs tend to run quieter with the fan facing up, as that allows the heat to rise away from the thermistor controlling the fan RPM. Since the PSU shroud has vents, it won't suffocate either.
