Country: Romania

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Minecraft.7 day to die, survival games

Other details

Hey all! I'm putting together a budget-friendly gaming PC mostly for modded Minecraft, survival games like 7 Days to Die,etc.I'd love feedback on my part choices — is everything well-balanced? Any weak points or better-value alternatives?

🧠 Build Specs:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-14400F (10 cores, 16 threads, 4.7 GHz boost)

  • Cooler: be quiet! Pure Rock PRO 3 Silver

  • Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B760M-A WIFI DDR4

  • GPU: Palit GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Infinity 3 16GB GDDR7

  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3600MHz CL18

  • Storage: Kingston FURY Renegade 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe

  • Case: Endorfy Regnum 400 Air (good airflow)

  • Case Fans: ARCTIC P12 120mm Value Pack (5 fans)

  • PSU: Seasonic G12 GC-750W 80+ Gold (2024 version, fixed cables)

  • Monitor: ViewSonic 24" 1080p, 180Hz, 1ms, VA Panel, FreeSync Premium

🎯 Goals:

  • Smooth 1080p/1440p gaming (high/ultra settings)

  • Long gaming sessions with good thermals and low noise

  • Play modded games with big overhead (Minecraft modpacks, etc.)

  • Occasional light editing or streaming

  • Room to upgrade GPU or CPU in 2–3 years if needed

Any advice is appreciated — I’m open to feedback or tweaks. Thanks in advance!

Go with Amd and if you can am5, intel cpus haven’t been doing good for gaming lately and for your psu go with something like the msi mag a750gl

All this cost 1.110,01 EUR

With intel 14th gen you are investing into a dead platform without much upgrade path.

I would highly recommend investing into the AM5 platform from AMD.  A Ryzen 7600/x should be on par or faster than the 14400F.

This give you an upgrade path later to a 9800X3D for example or to AMD's upcoming CPU's that aren't even out yet, we know these will be on the AM5 platform too.

Lets say you want to upgrade in 2-3 years when the 10800X3D comes out and a 6070 Ti.

You might have to spend a little bit more as investing into a somewhat decent motherboard is recommended with future upgrades in mind, also DDR5 is a bit more expensive.  But you will save money in the long run, you dont have to swap out the motherboard and get new RAM if you want to upgrade CPU later to something much faster.

You recommend AMD and AM5 and then say that Intel CPU's have been doing good?

This is confusing.

Is it Endorfy Regnum 400 Air or Endorfy Regnum 400 ARGB? Because ARGB version gives 1 extra fan while Air has 3.

3+ fans is quite enough for almost any PC, so if you want nice airflow you could just get one exhaust fan so the warm air doesn't entirely rely on momentum and pressure.

Not sure if you need those 5 extra fans.

3 intake are plenty, even if GPU grabs some of that fresh air, it doesn't warm it up enough to be a problem for the CPU, and most of the fresh air from top fan will probably get to CPU cooler.

But of course you can put more fans in the case, and at the bottom for GPU fresh air intake.

If the Arctic fans aren't expensive I suppose it's decent enough even if the case didn't fit all the fans.

Just saying, that GPU isn't 4090.

To put it in perspective, 5060Ti draws more power than RTX 4060, but less than RTX 4070.

Could get slightly better PSU maybe.

MSI A-GL, Thermaltake GF A3, Corsair RMe, Corsair RMx 2024+, Cooler Master MWE Gold V2, Be Quiet! Pure Power 12 (M), Adata XPG Core Reactor (II), ASUS TUF Gaming G/Gold.

Though you can stick to this one if it's cheap, it still has warranty I think, and 2024 PSU from Seasonic can't be wrong choice. Quite good, just not ATX 3.0, which is nicve to have, but not necessary, once again your PC doesn't plan to use 4090/5090.
