Hey y’all, jay here ( I’ve watched too much Scott the woz)

I’ve found a lot of videos explaining all core oc on intel and amd, but so far I haven’t seen any go into detail on single core overclocking. Are there any guides that would go into detail about this?

why would you overclock a single core when the allocation for the core is dynamic

Im trying to figure out  how a person would do a single core oc. I prob won’t do it myself.

I use extended power limits, and a custom curve and my CPU will boost to 5850MHz on a few cores.. like 4 cores 8 threads, then I have 2 cores and threads that do like 5750, and the rest do 5650. These are effective clocks that I am talking about. With Average effective running at 5650 at the top end, and roughly 5300-5400MHz at ~250w.

These CPUs are meant to run under PBO conditions imo, but cooling can be an issue if you are not an enthusiast.
