Hello,

That connector is indeed terrible. I saw multiple YouTube video's how to remove it. But in you're case (pun intended) the cable looks mushed, so I would take the motherboard out first and then gently pull on it, also the blue slit! Because it likes to keep hanging in the slot. And make sure the motherboard can't jam against something while doing so!

And watch a YouTube video how to remove a USB 3.0 front panel connector!

Hope it helped!

A old BIOS version is most likely the issue here if you didn't update it.

If you need help with this, let me know 🙂

I can guide you through it

Your motherboards supports the BIOS Flashback feature so its actually quite simple to do.

Okay that’s a place to start

but how do I do that ? Do I need to install the older CPU and find a bios update on the manufacture website ? Install before reinstalling the new CPU ?

BIOS that supports 5900 XT on X570-A PRO, released in 2024, you need to update the BIOS.

Do you have any other device that could grab USB stick and set up the BIOS update?

If you don't got any other PC that could install BIOS update on USB stick, old CPU will have to give you the helping hand.

With a BIOS Flash button, you do not need the old CPU in the motherboard for this to work.

You do need a USB Flashdrive that is FAT32 however.

Let me know if you need any more help or have questions.

Official website, follow guide very thoroughly, updating BIOS is no joke and should be done properly and preferably not if your area experiences frequent power blackouts/brownouts.

Following this, your motherboard does have BIOS flash button. Some of the instructions or general info can also be probably found in Motherboard's manual.

I have already pointed that out.

Also linked a video that takes advantage of the button.

USB was in pressed button - system started up

- I am assuming Bios flashing red light by USB drive was flashing away

- it than turned off and back on

    - now the red light is solid red (it is the left red light in the picture )

The system started up when you pressed the BIOS Flash button?

Yeah I turned the power supply on and pressed the button - well actually I pressed and grabbed a flash light thinking I may need to press harder and it was going

It’s just powered on on a counter running not plugged into a monitor at this time

*I downloaded the most recent AMI bios driver for this
