Hiya, I configured a prebuilt PC for my nephew a little while ago and he has had the same issue with it.

When it boots it instantly goes to a black screen and says "B1initializelibrary fail"

Its a Lenovo prebuilt (T5 26AMR5) with a 5600G, 16 GB of RAM (I think 3200, maybe 3600) and an RTX 3060 12gb. It's all OEM parts. It runs windows 11. And has the latest bios (which is from 2023...)

He has tried a lot, he even took it to a shop and I believe they replaced the motherboard with the same OEM one,I would like as much answers as I could get since I feel responsible...

Thanks in advance!!

Have you tried any of the following:

  • Checking your BIOS boot settings to make sure it can boot from your drive (try disabling Secure Boot, and if RAID is enabled, disable that too)
  • Manually setting the system time in the BIOS
  • Booting from a USB stick or testing with a completely different drive
  • Possibly enabling Above 4G Decoding (if your motherboard has/supports it)
  • Clearing the CMOS to reset BIOS settings
  • Removing the GPU and trying to boot using integrated graphics (since the 5600G supports it)
