it feels funny that console users wont have gta4 on ps5 on default, and needs to buy again when it releases

all new gpu and os are supported for gta4 but rockstart and sony decided to not support on new ps5 still. it should be mandatory that all games from ps2 should be available in modern consoles

it be nice but didn't work that way...they tried before and you get some compatibility.

problem is not all company's want to renew there ip on a system after the agreed time is up. before company's would pay then to stay with one company but i think that's gone now?

so owning the old system is needed for full compatibility anyway.

what do you mean by support? ps3 cell architecture was pretty complex so it wasn't supported even ps4 let alone ps5, even rpcs3 development took so long become somewhat usable and lastly gta iv was trash and a big flop so rockstar isn't interested in a remake or remaster.

I was going to say the same thing. Games made for the PS3 was difficult and complex and it was difficult to port 1-to-1 to the PS4 or even PS5.

Rockstar don't have time to remake/remaster this and would give it to a third party to do the job and if the issues Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy –The Definitive Edition had on release (now somewhat patched up)...it's not worth it (for now)
