New CPU cooler is making a vibrating noise

Ok, so to rule out the loose fin theory you could run only the middle fan.

If the noise remains then the cooler isn't your problem and returning it is useless.

So I replaced it with a thermalright peerless assassin. The sound is still there, but the thing is it's like 10x more quiet. I'm guessing that it's either turbulence or resonanse and because the thermalright fans are 500rpm less they create less of it. Eitherway I'm happy because I couldnt focus while working with the pure rock pro 3 installed. That sound really was unbareable to me.

So a few days ago I replaced my CPU and my CPU cooler. After a day I noticed that it's generating this resonating vibrating sound - something like a phone vibrating very slightly. I've tried ignoring it, but i simply cannot.

Things i've tried:
-Re seating the fans and changing their positions.
-Unplugging the front fan (gave the impression of the sound being reduced significantly or gone)
-Changing the rpm (It's present at every range)

Does anyone have any ideas what could I try? Or is simply returning it the best option at this point? The CPU cooler is a Be quiet! Pure Rock pro 3.

Don't you have a spare fan that you could replace the front fan with, to be sure ?

Or just replace the front fan with the middle fan.

When sure either return the cooler/fan or just replace the fan.

It's still present after replacing a fan. So I think the best thing to do is to return it, a shame because I really liked it's aesthetic. I just hope the peerless assassin won't have a similar issue.

It's likely the heatsink just had a defect and one of the fins was loose.

What did you do exactly ?

And if replacing one fan didn't help, did you try replacing the other ?

I replaced it, kept the replacment fan running and unplugged the one that was originally there to be sure.
I also have tried doing one fan at a time. When i do that it gets a bit quieter, but just a bit.

So you replaced the front fan with a spare one ?

What about the middle fan ?

Are you sure the spare fan is fine ?

Yes the front one.
I left the middle one  in there but unplugged it.
Everything is fine with the spare.

That's weird.

I think there's something else going on, I'm not convinced by the loose fin theory (but I could be wrong).

Yeah idk either, it really sucks. Eitherway thanks for the help.

Ok, so to rule out the loose fin theory you could run only the middle fan.

If the noise remains then the cooler isn't your problem and returning it is useless.

Wdym? The vibrating is still present while only running the middle fan, but 2x more quiet. I prefer to just return it, this isn't what i expected nor paid for.
