I am wondering if this build is optimal. Is there anything you would change in this build? If so, what would you change? I am planning on building it sometime in the end of this year; maybe around Black Friday. I want to be able to play 1440p games and have the capability to play a little bit of 4K games. I want the PC to be future proof as well. I am going to use my PC for productivity purposes as I am studying Data Science.

How much would a used 4080s go for where you live? I would probably consider looking at that price and see if it's worth it over the 9070xt. I think the DLSS advantages and the much lower power consumption would make for a better purchase to me  but I consider ray tracing and DLSS to be always on since RT is pretty much in every AAA game now and the new DLSS is pretty good on 1440p monitors now even on performance mode whereas FSR isn't there yet.

They go for around $1300 CAD on facebook marketplace. So there is a $300 difference between the 9070xt and a used 4080 where I live.

I've actually listed my own used 4080 for under $900 where I live, 3 days and no takers so far.

I made this AMD 9600X + RX7800XT build for 1440p gaming on PCPartPicker Canada that totalled out to be around $1800 CAD. Any advice on the build? Anything you would change? I am planning to buy and build a PC by the end of this year

Shaved off about 150 CAD with minimal if any loses that wont make a difference that can be noticed

Still could "downgrade" some aspects but a lil smt like this will be fine

What if YOU were cake all along?

For 9070 XT build I'd go with X3D chip though. For that price range total it can easily fit.
