Dear community,

I need your help and the collective intelligence of the hive.

I'm looking for some product advice/recommendations from you.
My problem is as follows:

I want to revive my old graphics card from EVGA, the Titan X Hybrid.
The problem I am facing is that the AIO is leaking and needs to be replaced. The rest of the graphics card works perfectly fine.

My first attempt at a solution was an “Alphacool Eisbaer LT” CPU block. Because this system has a modular design and can therefore be maintained or expanded.
But these hurdles immediately stood in my way:

  • The holes for mounting the cooling system on a GPU are closer together than on a CPU

    socket
  • The mid plate opening (48x48 mm) above the GPU chip is too small to be able to place the cold plate of the Alphacool LT (55x55 mm) on the GPU and thus make contact with the cooler

Based on the problem, I found the NZXT product “Kraken G12” as a possible solution. Unfortunately, NZXT no longer manufactures this product.
Included in this kit would be a “Conversion Kit” for mounting CPU coolers on GPU mounting holes. Also a suitable AIO based on the Asetek design.

So can you, dear community, give me some recommendations on

  • how I can mount a CPU cooler on a GPU where the holes have different spacing (or a cooling block that works without a conversion kit)
  • a CPU block which has a small enough cold plate that I can get through the opening of the mid plate (48x48 mm). Preferably modular

I am looking forward to your feedback

Can't you repair the AIO/fix the leaking ?

At worst it should be possible to use an external pump ?

Welcome to the forums!
Got a friend or a company nearby that can cut metal? You could take a small piece of steel and make an adapter plate for a cheap tower cooler. Or you could buy a Parts-Only version of the card and harvest the cooler. Most companies reuse the same base board for their models, though you might want to ping EVGA customer support to double check

Otherwise, you can probably cut open the AIO, refill the lost coolant, then seal the leak and the cut with some FlexSeal

NZXT made AIO adapters for GPUs and their Kraken AIOs. I think it was called the Kraken G12, maybe see if you can find one of them? They had compatibility for the Titan and Titan X. New ones probably won't have compatibility for older cards like that.

If you are cool with an air cooling setup on it there are/used to be aftermarket air coolers for titan cards.

As others have said you may be able to repair the leaking part. For a different option it looks like Bykski made an open loop block for the Titan X cards and they may still be available.
