I've had issue with Windows 11 sometimes just breaking. An example of that is windows explorer completely restarting when I went to open the properties on a file. Then a way more common issue is Windows just taking a while to respond to something. Like right clicking a file, opening properties, etc. It's little things, but they're very annoying to deal with and considering a switch back to Windows 10.

And I don't have exactly a slouch of a PC either. I'm rocking a i7-12700K, 48GB of ram, my OS runs off a Crucial MX500, and my system isn't running like 50,000 random junk in the background like anti-viruses or whatever (I just use Windows defender)

Windows 11 do have issues, especially after 24H2.

Sometimes some things get fixed with the monthly patch tuesday but another thing gets broken....

And don't ever install those preview updates, those are for "volunteers beta testers"

I miss Windows 10, and Windows 7 😭

You've got the RAM. Just set explorer.exe to run in each process. That way only the one window crashes, and not the entire destkop UI. It's called "Launch folder windows in a seperate process".

Possibly. It'd take a while and I'd have to rebuy my windows key (i bought a OEM key) so I'd rather not, but if it becomes a big issue then I'll try it

I had the same issue when I used Wallpaper engine, specifically a wallpaper that was a 32-bit application. Not sure if you're using Wallpaper Engine or not but you might want to check and make sure you aren't running any 32 bit background processes before you go the nuclear route.
