Red led on while the system works and runs normal!

Hey I have a red led for my cpu but I have never had this before and this just came up but the system works and was working before so idk what this it or how to fix it? Anyone that know what it is and how to fix it please help me!

What motherboard / CPU / RAM do you have?

Looks like an MSI motherboard. If so, these are the "EZ Debug LEDs". They light up if the mobo detects an issue. In your case it detects some problem with the DRAM. Check if all your memory is detected properly.

 

 

My MSI mobo also has the red LED lit up but since I don't notice any hardware or performance issues i've never bothered trying to fix it. Maybe it's some specific setting in the BIOS/UEFI.

How do you see DRAM?  Looks like the CPU light to me.

Looks like it says DRAM in the picture, i might be wrong tho I guess you're right, seems like the CPU indicator x) I was going off the image I posted where the LEDs are all in a row

System is failing Power-On Self Test (P.O.S.T.).

Something wrong is detected on the CPU.

 

Has anything changed recently?

• Remove the CPU Cooler?
• Remove CPU from the socket?
• Remove any of the RAM sticks?
• Change to overclocks?

Nth means nothing sorry am British cpu is ryzen 7 9700x ram is Corsair vengeance 5600 32 gb ddr5 memory

Before you refit the CPU.... You say it's working?

The performance was normal temps normal and I have updated the bios and refit the cpu it was still working but with the light still on I really don’t know what’s wrong

Also today when I try to turn my pc on it will boot I get the motherboard screen but it won’t load into windows can someone please help

No much we can do.

 

If you've connected all power cables properly, the cooler properly, and don't have any bent pins...  you may have a defective part.  CPU or motherboard.

Bro I have the pc running right now it won’t boot into windows for some reason after not using for one day but it was working the last time I used it but I can get into the bios no problem and in the bios the CPU is detected and works I really don’t know what’s going on the second red light is the boot which I don’t know why that’s not working

Have you messed with bios settings?

 

Can you load optimized defaults in the bios and try again?

I have not touched the bios also I got it run windows by rebooting over and over and leaving it for a bit it’s running normal but stilll got the red led

Uhm, okay?  Not sure how to diagnose that.

 

I would personally reset bios, reinstall Windows, after I went over every power connector with a fine tooth comb.

 

Otherwise it's hard to say what's flaking, as you're working in a fashion.
