Hello, I just got a ThinkPad L14 gen 2 intel for £60 on eBay, everything was going well until I found that it had a supervisor password locked BIOS, I reset the CMOS hoping to get rid of it but unfortunately that reset the date and time (which can't be changed without password) but not the password so I can't use the laptop until the date and time is set.

Do you know what could be done?

at this point I would even be tempted to go as far as learn soldering to avoid buying a new motherboard.

Sorry, we don't help with that here. Reach out to the vendor you bought the laptop from to see if they can help you.
