What is the difference between a modular, semi, and non modular psu?

What is the price difference  I could get for a bnib fully modular psu vs. a semi vs. a non-modular?

The difference is that one cant have any cables removed, one can have some cables removed and one can have all cables removed thus being non modular, semi modular and modular respectively

 

The PRICE difference is a whole other story and has no answer for all as its based on specific models, where you live and a whole bunch of other factors so check the prices on those as we cant answer you accurately on that one

Well you can get any PSU and sell it for X, if x=$

Well then, YOU need to tell us what the price of X and Y are. We don't know where you are or what your prices are.

 

I will say though that semi modular are generally less desireable than fully modular, so that needs to be factored. If you buy a semi mudular, will you be able to sell it?

Whether or not a power supply is modular is not an indication of its quality. There are plenty of great non-modular power supplies, and there are plenty of modular power supplies that are actually cheap junk.

 

What's wrong with your current power supply? There's no reason to replace a perfectly functional power supply with a new one just because it does or doesn't have modular cables. That only makes a difference for cable management.

 

Don't buy stuff just for the sake of buying stuff.

Non modular is mess with all potential cables non removable

 

Semi is usually the sweet spot money and feature wise with all critical cables permanently affixed, and everything else removable

 

Fully modular is the ultimate, both in appearance and customization, it usually costs more, but many units have third party options for custom sleeved cables for epic aesthetics

Hmmm, You seem to be asking a different question in your title than in your first post.

Generally speaking fully modular are a bit more $$$, but as already noted doesn't really indicate quality.

 

80 Bronze certification or better and a 10 year warranty are a couple of things I look at first.

Read reviews and if the price seems too good to be true, be wary.
