My s10 is really great but has a crack on the glass unfortunately and also the battery feels like it goes down faster. Also in certain websites it's showing some age. Overall still a cool phone. I was considerin the s24 since Samsung has been great, phone still works fine overall, but I need to finally replace it. My question is: Should I wait for s26, or just buy s24?

s25 does not justify the money imo. Not enough of a leap.

Will I at least get a good upgrade? My usage is browsing as smooth as possible, and the only games I play are retro dos and PSX games on emulators.

Another feature I pay attention is PWM to avoid flickering eyestrain but they all suck except some chinese brands for some reason, and I don't want to buy any chinese brands.

Also, I have noticed how lame the resolution and PPI is on new phones. People with grandma eyes may not able to see it but people has reported that on s7's and s10's which had higher res and PPI than modern devices, the very small text and icons are crispier. Do you think the s26 due the new batteries will be able to improve on raw solution again or they will keep compromising here in hopes to get a better battery life?

For comparative (s7 vs s10 vs s24):

                   s7                                                                                 s10                                                                                 s24

Type Super AMOLED Dynamic AMOLED, HDR10+ Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X, 120Hz, HDR10+, 2600 nits (peak)
Size 5.1 inches, 71.5 cm2 (~72.1% screen-to-body ratio) 6.1 inches, 93.2 cm2 (~88.3% screen-to-body ratio) 6.2 inches, 94.4 cm2 (~90.9% screen-to-body ratio)
Resolution 1440 x 2560 pixels, 16:9 ratio (~577 ppi density) 1440 x 3040 pixels, 19:9 ratio (~550 ppi density) 1080 x 2340 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio (~416 ppi density)

So if anyone has some advice let me know. I just may go with the s24 anyway. Has to be exynos due location btw, but I think unless you are some sort of hardcore gamer on a phone for some reason you may really notice the extra power, for the usage I want should be good. I just hope the battery life is decent and it does not overheat easily. My s10 barely ever overheats except during updates or if I do something very demanding but for regular browsing and so on it's fine.

I wouldn't sweat the display resolution too much. There is a difference, but it's not night-and-day. I also wouldn't count on the S26 bumping the resolution up to 1440p, as you could wait a year only to wind up with the same pixel count.

If you're big on Samsung, go for the S24. I've used the S25 series, and the only truly interesting upgrades are the Edge and Ultra models. It's not worth punishing yourself for months on a gamble that the S26 will be a more meaningful release. Last year's Exynos chip will still be an improvement over a 2019-era processor.

Alternately, you could spring for a Pixel 9a or 9 (if either is available in your country).

What about PWM? do you get headache or eye strain? S24 increased to 490hz but only for s24+ and s24 ultra for some reason, with s24 is 240hz. Im not sure what s7 uses.

I'm not susceptible to PWM issues, so I unfortunately can't say if things have gotten better. I was fine while trying the S24, and certainly while using the Pixel 9 and 9a. If you're comfortable with your S10, you should be okay with those devices.
