For you richer gamers who bought the RTX 5090, was it worth it? I can't believe a high-end GPU has reached the cost of a whole desktop. My prebuilt desktop didn't cost much more than just 1 RTX 5090! I am going by MSRP that is.

For most people no, its simply not worth it for them to get such a GPU. Even at MSRP, but especially at current pricing its really not worth it.

It's only because Nvidia knows they can charge that much.

There's no reason to charge less - gamers aren't as profitable as the server business anyways.

For the 3 people I know personally with 5090's, "worth" has quite literally nothing to do with it.

They're PC hardware enthusiasts and its the newest, fastest thing. That's all that mattered.

since they cut production of the 4090, there's no other gpu that comes close to that kind of performance for games like mh wilds and 33. Theres a very low chance that if some1 spent on a 5090 they'd say it's not worth it, unless it's melted.
