Hi everyone, I Bought 2 sticks of RAM from Amazon they are both 16 Gb sticks (32 Total) i swapped them out from my Oyol 8 Gb sticks (16 total) but when i tried to turn the computer on it didnt turn on so i moved the sticks to new slots it turned on this time alot louder then before and it didnt show a picture so i put my old sticks back in and i had to mess around with them as well but i finally got video and when it booted up my bios had reset. I did try them in another machine they didnt work there either i have not tried them 1 at a time. Here is the link to the store page if it helps at all i really want to know if i just got scammed out of 40 dollars. https://www.amazon.com/KingBank-Computer-Desktop-3200MHZ-Heatsink/dp/B0DF7M23ST/ref=nav_signin?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.aV9H_CU6HDx6n3rph_ycDHrHzMqU6Ssvb5kCM2kAm8nse_EsLraLgTLxqZUuQGArpoedXj_lB-FwR6Xi6rfWyVLcSFTBiYepbd0LYslem0Vm_yiK3cUyOPL2eekik0PhCCoXjnZZy79DCfCz-FcA2p1zuDRtUgOgw22tj7t3wAtgQJdWJEr09guEmJK1nH_8d7eJUrhvkzBG5Cp2xaat3sAE9CovcgRXk3Oq74o-cZE.FXROWzXDA6sD0R0uQSYg_HU9_mcnbiB1DZU9kuahakk&dib_tag=se&keywords=ddr4%2B3200%2B32gb&qid=1743993575&sr=8-8&th=1

Could just be defective kit.

If you bought that from amazon, just return refund it ?

System specs?

It's an okay-ish brand, not the best but passable.

It's possible for the kit to be defective but it might just be that your system doesn't take it.

Try that. Also in different slots.

You've got 1 month to refund them anyway.

What's your other machine?

why wouldnt they? there both ddr4 3200mhz

There's a reason manufacturers have memory compatibility lists on their sites. Also a reason many times BIOS updates will say things like improved memory compatibility.  Just because it's DDR4 doesn't mean it will necessarily work with your board.

You may want to check and see if there has been any BIOS updates for things like this for your board.

In my experience, memory compatibility on Zen 2/3 is really fucky. I would just return them and get a different kit. I had to try a whole bunch of different RAM + board combos to get my Zen 3 system stable. I eventually found that a Patriot Viper Steel 32GB stick (yes, a single stick) of DDR4-3200 with looser 16-20-20-40 timings was the right combo to get my system to boot and run stably but it took some trial and error.

I'm having more fun than you 😠
