I am looking at setting up my Valve Index again for some VR, get the urge every now and then but have REALLY been feeling the need for it lately. Problem is I have run out of ports on the back of my graphics card. All three of my display ports go to a monitor in my setup, picture attached for reference. The HDMI out of my GPU goes to my streaming PC, and in my settings I just have the primary monitor duplicated so that I can stream one of my PC monitors.

The solution that I have in my head is to use a switch like this one, that way when I am not using my headset I can still retain the third monitor without having to get behind my PC and juggle which cable is plugged into the back of my GPU. Does anyone have experience with using DP switches?

The switch you linked takes in two inputs and switches between them on one output. You need one that takes in 1 input and switches it between 2 outputs.

Failure is part of success. I may make mistakes, that's how we all learn.
