There is 23.976fps video and 24fps video for bluray video content

why does lg tv and uhd player display both frame rate as 24hz but not 23.976hz for 23.976fps content?

There is no uhd 23.976hz refresh rate option for uhd player.

Nobody outside the broadcast industry needs to worry about drop frame. It's fine.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

It doesn't matter, but if you really dig into it, I've found some devices or tools may simplify reporting e.g. 29.97 is often rounded to 30. So there is what is it really vs what is it reporting, before we even get to what does it even support.

I thought I had a problem in the past in that most consumer video cameras record at 59.97 whereas I capture game footage at 60.00. Then I realised that was like 1 frame difference in 33 seconds. At worst, there might be a one frame correction at that interval but I never saw it. The difference between 23.976 and 24.00 is about 1 frame in 42 seconds so even less common.

I really wish antiquated TV standards would go away so we can move forward.

Pretty common for it to be rounded for display because no everyday user will know about the difference and it's just less likely to cause confusion.

If you can't see the difference, who cares? It's like driving at 34MPH while those around you are driving at 34.2MPH, IT BASICALLY DOESN'T MATTER.

I wish that Gamers would settle down and quit acting like spoiled children because not everyone can afford a $2000 GPU for their $1000 PC to play a couple of $90 Games.
