I used to have the 4070s.
I have been using dual monitor with the 4070s.

I upgraded to 5080. ( Galax )
Upon booting up with dual monitor plugged in , PC will be stuck. Wont boot up.

So lets say the Monitor is like this -
Monitor A
Monitor B

If I unplug Monitor A but keep monitor B plugged in and then boot up - it works.
If I unplug Monitor B but keep monitor A plugged in and then boot up - it works.

At first I thought it would be the cables.
I switched my cables from DP2.0 to DP2.1 - Did not solve the issue.

Booting up the PC with a single monitor and then plugging in the second monitor after Windows finished loading works fine.

Should not be PSU issue as there is no relation to Power Supply.

So now every driver update that requires a restart , I have to unplug one of my monitor , restart the pc , and plug it back in.

Need help.

What Nvidia driver version do you have?

The most recent driver version is 576.40, released yesterday 12th of May.

Are one of the monitors ASUS PG32UQXR, Asus ROG PG248QP, Asus ROG PG32UCDM?

The recent driver is meant to fix black screen when booting on those monitors.

Dont think it is related to the drivers.

As i mentioned , if i boot with only one of the monitor , i can boot up with no issue.

So even if i have PG32UQXR , i would not boot even on single monitor , correct? But this isnt the case. It is only on Dual Monitor setup.

Both is LG-27GR83Q

Thing is there has been alot of driver issues for Nvidia lately, among them black screen during boot and issues using several monitors.

So it's worth a try to test the latest drivers.

I'm glad to hear it! 👍

Nvidia's drivers has been a horror movie lately, especially for those 50xx cards

But slowly and surerly they'll hammer out those bugs
