ASUS Motherboard wifi and ethernet not working

Montech KING 95 PRO ATX Mid Tower Case

Running Ubuntu 24.04

 

Tried to find the drivers online but I could only find windows drivers, and Ubuntu didnt know what to do with them when i put them in a usb and put it in my PC. Unsure how to get Wifi or ethernet to work, tried to install net-tools.

 

apologies for posting twice in a short time, this should be the last major issue. I was told by the computer repair guy to go with this motherboard so i listened.

some more details:

when the ethernet cable is plugged in, the lights do turn on, one solid orange and one flashing green.

ifconfig -a shows no ethernet interface, only the localhost loopback.

okay i solved it, needed to update to ubuntu 25
