Budget (including currency): Around 1000 Euros (1100 would be the limit)

Country: Greece

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for

(FOR NOW):

  • Escape from Tarkov

  • Skyrim Special Edition with mods

  • Elden Ring (medium settings)

(FOR THE FUTURE):

  • Red Dead Redemption 2 (high settings)
  • Assassin’s Creed Mirage (high maybe ultra settings)
  • Other Heavy Upcoming Games

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have a very old 10 year old computer that can barely handle anything. Ive been wanting to get into gaming for a while but i didnt have the budget. I havent decided what I am building here exactly but my main concern is future-proofing and long-lasting while keeping it value for money not too far off. Since my budget isnt all that big and will probably not keep up with games 4-5 years ahead if i make a well-rounded build, i decided to sacrifice some performance in the present to invest into the future which in other words means going down the Intergrated Graphics road (without a GPU). I did some research myself and i stumbled upon a very promising and well rated CPU, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800 x3D. Ive been told its an overkill for my current budget since it takes close to 40%+ of it and i will need to find a mid-range GPU to support it until i can get a better one. Ive seen other simular CPUs such as the Ryzen 7 7700 and the Ryzen 5 7600 following up with the Intel Core i5 14600K on a tighter price which probably are a bit more value for money and can perform alone but i am afraid i will need to swap my CPU in 3-4 years. I am currently aiming for 16GB of DDR5 RAM since its all i need to run games for now but i am looking forward for a 32GB RAM upgrade in the future. Last thing i want to talk about is the cooling. I havent done any deep searching on cooling but since my CPU is "playing solo" it needs something to be maintained cool and healthy. I am pretty sure (i hope lol) there will be enough money left for the rest... (case , motherboard, storage, PSU, mid-range GPU if i end up getting 7800 x3D). I am really lost here and need some guidance. Any suggestion is helpful if you also have any ideas for the rest (case, PSU etc.) i would be more than happy to hear just keep in mind the main concern i mentioned above. I will also need a Screen aswell to finish the setup

Thank you everybody in advance!

if you think your going to upgrade the cpu again. id go with the 7600, yea its 6/12 but it will do just fine and later if you want you can save up and grab a x3d cpu (best gaming cpus) then you wil have more money for a gpu. or grab you a used 7000 might save ya a few bucks also

as for cooling the 7600 isnt to hot of a chip and air cool will be fine. later also you can upgrade with a aio water cooler. theres a lot of decent priced 240 sized coolers around

get a good mobo that supports newer cpus and you should be all good. since even the 9000 series cpus are am5

1000 euros thou thats a tough build. the gpus arnt realy cheap and will easily take 500+.

psu around 100 then ram 80 to 100, case say 100 and a screen? also storage

i dont know if you can even do it for 1000 honestly

hell even jayztwocents barely got a simi decent build with 1500 u.s

sounds like mainly cpu heavy games so go 7800x3d and look for a used 6800xt maybe even 64gb of ram instead of 32gb if you play with copious amounts of mods

Sorry i should have clarified this: My current budget is 1000 the gpu shouldnt be considered in the price (unless i get a x3D now)  as i will buy it later with a bigger budget meaning the pc will reach about 1500 in total maybe more

I looked into everything you suggested and i would prefer a Ryzen 7 7700 instead of the Ryzen 5 7500F. My question is why did you choose the ASRock B850 Pro-A Motherboard ATX? Obviously you know better but i saw it has PCle 4.0 instead of 5.0 like most future-proof motherboards. Should i be concerned at all?

That board supports PCIe 5.0 for both the gpu and M.2 SSD.

You never stated your intended resolution. If you intend on a 1440 monitor then I would look at a 850W psu for a future gpu.
