Why is my ram constantly pushing 30% usage and 8gb active using when I’m just on my desktop Home Screen. I just bought this laptop 2 days ago it’s the 5080 edition and why does my ram be crazy when I’m doing nothing

This is normal....and far from "crazy"...

Also the more RAM you have the more windows will use. It's just pre-caching stuff , there's no performance loss, actually the opposite.

Are you sure because why doesnt my desktop with the same gb of memory not really have this usage problem and I am experiences so much lag and stutter when I only have 1 chrome tab open with YT playing

Yeah I am, checking on my G17, 6.2/31.2GB used there's no stutters or other issues whatsoever, so it must be something else causing your problems (wouldn't even make sense cause even if you think 8 is "much" you still have plenty free)

Okay thank you sorry I just bought it and that crap was expensive so I am definitely babying it a little. Could just be internet maybe but I appreciate it. Any tips just keep an alright battery time. I got it to use for school but also to replace my tower pc to game on but now I’m figuring out the battery life is like 2 hours. Annyyy tips at all to help prolong that a little or am I just stuck bc it’s a power house.

You can set it to windows power saving mode - but that won't help "much"... I recommend bringing a charger!
