Hey everyone,

This isn’t an informative post, but rather a place to share experiences across different regions (US, EU, LatAm, etc.).

I’m curious about how things are going in various markets and want to compare my local situation. I’ll be converting my local prices to US dollars for consistency, but that this alone isn’t a perfect comparison, as taxes, shipping costs, and other factors can vary, so I’ll include some older generation cards for context.

Prices at the end of 2024 for the RTX 4000 series:

  • RTX 4070: around $640

  • RTX 4080 Super: around $1300

  • RTX 4090: approximately $2400

Current prices for the latest models:

  • RTX 5090: around $2850

  • RTX 5070 Ti: around $950

  • RTX 5070: around $670

  • RTX 5060 Ti (16 GB): around $520

  • Radeon 9070 XT: about $780

  • Radeon 9070: about $700

All these cards are widely available in multiple stores, with no stock shortages. They come from a range of vendors, and all prices are from reliable shops offering 36-month warranties.

This alone sums it up for me and should for you.

It's pointless to compare how the market is elsewhere with individual prices alone because of VAT, taxes that come with puchasing, currency equivalnce being all over the place, tarrif wars, the F'ed state the world is in rn etc etc

The closest you can do is see how far away or below cards are from the country specific MSRP (specifically for you) which is a better (but still not amazing) metric of how F'ed the situation of a specific country is

Anywho,

Where I am in the EU nvidia 50 series (except the 5090) is right around if not exactly at MSRP for my country, give or take 1-2% at its cheapest cause obviously some models are outrageously price like a 5080 being over 100% more MSRP

RX 7000 has dropped below which is expected but RX 9000 is usually over 100 euros over or about 100 euros over MSRP

What if YOU were cake all along?

The prices in the UK are similar, most of the 50 series apart from the 5080 are pretty much in line with MSRP on sites like Overclockers (and some stock suprisingly when I checked this morning), the RX 9000 stuff though is above £130 MSRP in most cases (especially for the XT model). RX 7000 and RTX 4000 are on discount and the Intel B580 is also in stock as around £260/270 for most AIB models.
