Budget (including currency): approx. $3500 - 4000 AUD

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: starting more 3d modelling due to a new 3d printer but mostly for gaming aiming for at least 120fps on high settings for most games (Cs2, Warframe, Marvel Rivals, Helldivers, Assetto Corsa Competizione) and stable 60fps with intensive games like Ark survival evolved (not ascended quite yet) + some future proofing for upgrades down the track

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have made a parts list, don't know exactly how optimized it is considering this is my first pc build:

https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/BDxKdb

this includes a monitor as well, ideally id like to get 1440p gaming solid but have no idea if this build/budget is over or underkill for what I'm after happy to provide any other information too just can't think of anything else to mention lol. another detail i am also a sim racer so i will need enough high speed USB slots for my gear (currently G920 but upgrading to Fanatec in 6 - 12 months)

sorry to seem so picky

Welcome to the forums

This is what I came up with under 4K AUD to maximize cost compared to specs while going with fairly strong components and a PSU that will allow you to go up to a GPU as powerful as a 4090 should you ever come across a good deal on one of them and want to upgrade

Under 3K USD not AUD

In AUD its overbudget

Also your ram is slow and you ssd has known firmware issues

This latest generation of AMD and Nvidia cards support PCIe 5.0 so you might as well get a board that supports PCIe 5.0 for the graphics card. That particular set of Corsair RAM you've chosen isn't AMD EXPO certified (which isn't a big deal tbh). Size up on your SSD.

Small issue (have made the same mistake before)
The cooler and the ram arent compatible cause the peerless assassin leave up to 42mm for ram and the patriot kit is 43mm
