I built the pc a few weeks ago, but as of late, I'm getting hard crashes half the time, a blue screen, and the other half goes out black and restarts. This last crash, when it restarted, I needed to turn it hard off to get my boot drive back into Windows. When I check Event Viewer, I get Kernel 41 with volmgr. I run hwinfo, and temps are fine while gaming, CPU 60c max, avg 55, GPU 55C max, 45 avg. PC secs are as follows.

CPU: 9800X3D (everything on auto)

MB: Gigabyte Aorus X870E Pro ICE rev 1.1

RAM: Corsair Dominator Titanium RGB 64GB CMP64GX5M2X6600C32W ( I'm running these 6000mhz 1:1)

NVMe: Samsung 990 PRO 2TB

PSU: Lian Li EDGE GOLD 1200 Watt 80 Plus

CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken Elite RGB 360mm All in One Liquid CPU Cooling Kit

The MB I put warranty on from Microcenter, and the CPU is out of the return window; everything else is still in the return window.

I'm unsure what the problem could be, but any help would be appreciated. I had a-- -20 voltage for the CPU. Since it kept crashing, I thought I would set everything on auto. I was gaming all day today, and it worked flawlessly. I played Clair 33 for 4 hours, which was good, but I was playing a game of DOTA 2, and it still crashed. I've done SFC scans and such.

Dump file creation failed due to an error during dump creation. BugCheckProgress was: 0x00040049 Event 161, volmgr

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly. Kernal 41

I'm on the latest chipset drivers and bios update. Not sure what else to do.

Try ram on auto as well. Reset CMOS and run at auto. If its still happening, then maybe check samsung magician for an update for 990 pro.
