(All) fans starting to become noisy ... Help?

Front fans of my torrent compact never have been silent but now they started chirping when at higher speeds ... The noctua fan of my u12s never has been silent either, it sometimes makes weird grinding noises (I guess that's the least of my problems) and now the fan on my corsair PSU (rmi 650) started to make a high pitched sound, almost like coilwhine, it also gets louder the faster it runs...

Like, what the hell, is this normal... What can I do, replacing all these fans is going to be a pain, what fans should I even buy for the front of my case (the originals are 2x180mm afaik) and I don't really want to RMA the PSU just because the fan is noisy, but I might?

Note I think every one of these issues are related to the bearings, because it just sounds grindy/metallic.

Shout-out to both noctua "Redux" fans (rear) that remain silent and in perfect condition, despite being the oldest fans in this system and running roughly at the same speeds than the others (it's just funny cause they're the cheapest)

What would y'all do? It's getting really annoying due to the noise, especially while gaming.🤨

Fans in my torrent are still silent after 2 years, but I also run them at a static 40% PWM 95% of the time. I'd use FanControl to manually adjust the RPM until the noise is reproducible to verify my diagnosis. If its accurate, i'd take them out, verify nothing is caught up inside to the best of my ability/perform a general cleaning and if its still evident, replace them. Fullsize Torrent has the option for a 3x120 fan setup but I'd never go that route. I'd just buy new ones from Fractal. Only real 180's that'll fit in that spot.

Or, just setup a static curve so they never reach that RPM. With such a high flow case, there really should be no need to ramp the fans up high. My Torrent, its 2x180's and 3x140's all run at a static 40% PWM unless the CPU hits 85c which for what I do, is rare.

The chirp is not good. I ran mine at full speed for about 2 years, maybe a bit more and they are still fine. Easy to say because there is no system in it lol.. but when I powered it off they were fine. Are you sure the chirp is from the Torrent fans?

Zou can put 2 140mm fans or 3 120 mm fans at the front. I recommend the Arctic P12 PWM PST.

Yeah, they were always rattling a bit, but now it's a really loud chirp, I think it's the top one, or both, not sure, but it's definitely the torrent fans.

Agreed I probably have to check/clean them. Just can't really do that with the PSU fan unfortunately. (I turned it off for now, ie it's on auto, but not sure if that's a long term solution)

psu fans can be different size or stander just depends. but can not be safe to replace it but up to you. the fan probably runs dc so your probably have to cut the connector off the old fan and solder it on the new fan. (probably better to rma it...)

ask and see if they can  replace the fans?

if not then ya can get new fans.

artic p fans have problems with them so i dont recommend them.

artic max i dont no yet they seem to be the best fan for the price.

thrmalright has fans too.

i heard bigger fans dont last as long.
