I'm debating whether I want to spend an extra $300 for an extra 16GB of RAM on the Surface Pro 11, Intel version.   I was wondering if the 16GB might be running in single channel mode or something.  So I asked a user on Reddit to share what cpu-z said.   This is the screenshot he shared.  The Core Ultra 7 268V only supports up to dual channel.  Does this mean dual-channel?

duel chan is 2 sticks, 1 chan would be one stick your board is 2 or 4 channel just buy a kit of ram mixing sticks even the same brand could cause issues but ivce seen 4 different brands and speeds in a mb they surprisingly just all ran with the slowest stick... ram has come along way

Wrong thing. HWinfo64 tells you the RAM channel mode clearer.

sorry i diffident even read your question apparently talking about a surface pro, the ram is soldered to the board so you wont be able to upgrade it unless you send it to someone to melt the ram off and attach more and this is not something you should do unless your ram is faulty so depending on what your doing with it.. 16gb is enough but is you plan on keeping it a long time then i would go with 32, i run over 20gb of ram just installing software so to future proof it and if your going to play games or use ai, rendering then 16 is not enough to run at optimal speed right now, also if you decide to sell it in a year or 2 16gb wont be worth nearly as much as 32 in resale

Yeah I learned the Core 200V series is unique in that it comes with the memory already integrated.  It's not reconfigurable by OEM so it definitely has to run in dual channel mode practically speaking.  I ended up ordering the 16GB version because Microsoft was charging an absurd markup that's as bad as Apple.  The graphics performance is great this generation (much better than a Steam Deck).  But it'll never be powerful enough for any games that need more than 16GB.
