Hi,

I’ve been doing lots of research to get a new monitor there’s a few things I’m not sure on. I’ve found info which suggests burn in is more likely on QD-OLED over WOLED. I also use my PC for productivity so aspect ratio is a consideration. I’ve been looking at  LG 34GS95QE or MSI 322URX. I’v never had a 4k monitor so don’t know how good or bad they are for having two windows side by side.

Thoughts appreciated thanks

9950x3D

64gb Ram

5090

Just being held back by my monitor as my old one stopped working so I’m using my backup 22” 1080p screen. I was on 1440p so I’m use to 109ppi so can’t decide whether to step up to 32” 4k at 140ish ppi or go for another ultrawide 1440p

i don't recommend woled for any color related work or oled in general if static images are gonna be on the screen for hours a day.

Other than that the 322URX is fine, a miniled consideration is the ex321ux

I use my monitor in the daytime for word documents, maps etc. Gaming is my secondary use really so is OLED best avoided? I saw one in a store and it was amazing I figured the risk of burn in is covered with 3 year warranty so probably not as much of an issue, but maybe I should go with IPS or VA instead although im not a fan of VA for the smudge effect you get with them.

with how oled is these days, the burn-in CAN become a problem AFTER the warranty period, it really does sound like an ips angle to me.

Do most of the mini LEDs have the annoying blooming issue? I had an ROG ultra wide with a VA panel and FALD so not quite as good tech as mini led but the fan on it was annoying and the smearing from the VA panel was quite annoying and then on dark screens it gas quite severe blooming but I don’t think it had that many zones.

they all have blooming issues, doesn't matter how many zones, most colorists turn off the FALD for their work, it just so happens that a couple of the mini-led displays also use the best ips panels even with fald off (like the benq), though if ur gonna turn FALD off then qd-oled takes the lead again (lol)

Might have to get an IPS for working and an OLED for gaming 🤣
