My moto g5 power finally bit the dust (dropped it) so its time to get a new one.

My budget is around £200 but i could stretch for the right device. I only have two prioties other than being fairly snappy. Good battery life (I forget to charge) and good/decent cameras.

more than comfortable with going used

Look at Nothing's CMF Phone 2 Pro that was just announced this week. £219 for a phone that apparently has pretty good cameras for the price as well as solid performance and a clever, eye-catching design.

Pixel 7 or 7a. Both can be found around £200 from Cex, who currently offer a 5 year (store) warranty on stuff they sell. You might want to clarify what that covers. Google offers 5 years of software updates starting from when it is first sold. That is still another 2.5 years left on the 7 and 3 years on the 7a. I'm running an 8a which I think has the same camera as the 7(a)? Standard or wide angle looks great, and with OIS copes well with low light. No optical zoom though so it falls apart if you push it.

Otherwise Samsung S series tends to have solid cameras also, but I personally don't like their software so I haven't looked closely at them.

Since Google develop Android, the phones tend to get new things faster, such as new OS versions. As for the feature set, I consider it a kind of pure Android. That's why I don't get along with Samsung, as their software is another layer to get in the way.

You might want to look into the Pixel 7a as Porina suggested. It's a couple of generations back but should still hold up for that kind of money.
