Games freexing with new PC

My son just got a cyberpower pc and he just recently got it to load gta after doing a factory reset but inorder for him to play fortnite, I have to pay for a monthly GeForce subscription because without it it will only load into fortnite lobby and not into the actual game, it just freezes. Any ideas why this is happening?? I have a ethernet cord plugged straight into the router for the connection so I'm confused I know nothing about them and he is only 13 so he is still learning! Thanks guys

Please list your specs. Though since its prebuild, going for manufacturers warranty service can be much more beneficial. You are paying them afterall and they have promised PC that works.
