My trusty 34" LG Ultrawide (34UC87C-B) somehow refused to come back to life after I abandoned him for two weeks while I was on vacation (not a great start for the week). After a lot of cussing I accepted my fate, started researching (and failed).

I was quite surprised to see that modern gaming monitors came a long way regarding color space but then noticed most are OLED and are said to be prone to color seams (which could be a pain with editing and maybe distracting in CAD). I am also a bit put off by OLED because of the burn in problems that can occur, since I tend to use my monitors for a long time and don't want to buy another one in just a few years.

I use this monitor for work and private things so it has a bit of a widespread use.

Work: CAD, graphic design, video editing

Private: mostly gaming (nothing crazy, never felt hindered by my old monitor with 60hz)

Either looking for a 32" 16:9 or again a 34" ultrawide, but the sheer amount of options is a bit overwhelming so to find a new one in a short time span I rely on you experiences.

Any recommendations?
